A church needs financial backing just like any other organisation or project does, but as we are not a business we rely solely on the free offerings of those who meet with us. Wellsprings is an independent church and does not generally receive grants or other monies from external organisations towards its weekly ministries.
We need money to pay a full-time Church Community Worker, maintain our premises, organise and run activities and events.
We also provide financial support to a range of mission partners locally, in the UK and abroad.
We ask church members to commit to giving regularly to the work at Wellsprings and to prayerfully review this annually.
How you can help:
- Arranging a bankers standing order means you can give regularly to the work at Wellsprings without worrying about having cash available on a Sunday. Please print off a Standing Order Form, and pass it on to your bank to set up.
- If you are a UK tax payer, you can “gift aid” your donations. This means that we can claim the tax you have paid on any donations you make to the Chapel (25p in every pound). Print off a Gift Aid form and leave it in an envelope at the Chapel for the attention of the Treasurer.
- You can also simply put cash or cheques in our Sunday morning offering or in the offertory box at the back of the chapel.
